The Founder: Mary Oves is the author of The Chrysalis Collective (formerly The {Not} It Girl), a lifestyle and education blog. She is a widely-published journalist whose work has appeared in such periodicals as The New York Times, The Philadelphia Inquirer and Shape magazine, as well as hundreds of smaller presses. She was a syndicated blogger for the Atlantic City Press’ Jersey Moms section, and a regular contributor to the Erma Bombeck Humorist Writer’s Guild, which draws hundreds of thousands of readers a month to its website and yearly conference. She also speaks annually at national symposiums and conferences, most recently the Soaring Spirits organization.

With five post-graduate degrees in English, Education and Leadership from Rutgers University, and thirty+ years of experience as a freelance journalist, educational leader and public speaker, Mary Oves uses her free time to create award-winning content that appeals to the masses.
